Chapter 16
Exercises 16.1 & 16.2

The purpose of this exercise is to explore how different kinds of perceptrons might be applicable to studies of animal learning. In this study, you will be replicating an experiment by Delamater, Sosa, and Katz (1999). You will pretrain a perceptron, and then see how the pretraining affects one of four different post-training conditions, where each is a study of "patterning". You will be doing this with a traditional perceptron as well as one that uses a value unit for its output.
