What does strength -- as in "strong argument" have to do with reasoning? Strenght of the chain, which is not a logical notion! Strength is reflected in parallel, converging lines of evidence, redundant links. (NB: Here is a very neat notion -- parallelism (instantiated by converting chains ito bundles, chains of bundles) provides damage resistance to types of reasoning!)
