Dawson Margin Notes For "An Invitation To Cognitive Science"

As I read for the course, my habit is to write notes to myself in the margin of the book, and to underline passages that I think are particularly relevant. I find that this focusses my attention as I read, and I have also found that these notes make it possible to very quickly get a sense of a chapter's main points when I return to it many months after having first read it.

This page is an index to my margin notes for Daniel Osherson's (1995) book An Invitation To Cognitive Science, Second Edition, published by MIT Press. The notes provided below are for those chapters covered in my course PSYCO 354, "Foundations Of Cognitive Science". I hope that you will find these notes useful. At the very least, they may give you some sense of what I personally found important in the various chapters.

Notes On Selections From Volume 1, "Language"

Notes On Selections From Volume 2, "Visual Cognition"

Notes On Selections From Volume 3, "Thinking"
