A Cool Question

From Ciara, Grade 1: "How was the Earth made?"

One Possible Answer: Scientists think that the Universe started with a big explosion called the Big Bang. Right after the big bang, there was a lot of fiery material spreading through the universe. Some of it was very hot, and formed stars. Some of it was captured in the gravity of the stars, and began to orbit around the stars. When these cooled off, they became the planets. So, the Earth used to be a fiery ball of dust that cooled off to orbit as a planet around the Sun.
